Post by Sam on Sat Apr 24, 2010 1:33 am

With all these film buffs in one spot, you know we had to do a movie page! See any good ones lately? Seen any terrible ones lately? Can't wait to go see one? Found a good trailer? It all goes here...

I personally really want to see The Losers. It came out today but I don't know if I'll be able to see it since I'm working most of the weekend. Maybe next week... Anyways, it stars Chris "Captain America" Evans, Zoe "Uhura/Neyfertiri Saldana, Jeffrey Dean "John Winchester" Morgan, Jason "Older Bro from The Lost Boys" Patric and Colombus "Stomp the Yard" Short. Me likey all of them and lots of action, so I think I will probably end up liking this movie. Check out the trailer:

Let's see...
Nightmare on Elm Street (with the good Ruby in it), Iron Man 2, Harry Potter, Salt, Predators, The Expendables.... I know there's a bunch more but I can't think of them all!

Interested in Predators but have that creeping feeling of "Just leave it alone guys, will you." Iron Man 2, hope the scripts as good as the last one. The last Harry Potter was tedieous, I think it was the last one anyway. It was definitely the last one I saw.

It was a bit tedious but this is the 2-parter of the last book so I have high hopes. In regards to Predators, I feel the same but am really hoping it's somehow really awesome. Adrien Brody's in it, weird!

Whoops, forgot to leave my review! I saw The Losers last week and I enjoyed it very much. If you like big ensemble cast movies with lots of action but don't mind some of the plot points being a bit head-scratchy, you'll love this movie. Reminded me a bit of Smokin' Aces and Street Kings, but didn't take itself too seriously. I think it's based on a graphic novel. Chris Evans & Colombus Short had the best lines but Jason Patric almost stole the show as the bad guy. He was just enough over the top to make the villain fun to watch. So yeah, it's not the best movie I've ever seen but I do recommend it.

So hubby and I watched Hurt Locker tonight. It was okay but I had a few issues with it as did hubby, in fact we were quite insulted by it but being as you're both American I shall maybe miss out that rant.

I enjoyed it on the whole but found parts unrealistic in my opinion.

It was aiight, not as big a deal as everyone was saying. I think Anthony Mackie deserved as many accolades if not more than Jeremy Renner though. You can post your British rant, I don't care.

Well when the three explosive experts come across the British SAS team. They were definitely SAS (Secret Air Service - we teach the rest of world how to be evils), the film depicts all the Brits running around stupidly and all getting killed off but the 3 US troops suddenly become expert snipers and take out everyone. Oh another US movie showing the rest of the world how awesome they are and aren't we lucky.

While I'm ranting why is the Brit always the bad guy?

Going AWOL from a base is a no no, he'd have been "on jankers" ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jankers ) My dad was an Airman like Sheppard only he didn't fly jets and we lived on bases you don't get away with sneaking out.

They'd have been an inquiry into the shooting as well as they'd have been withdrawn from active duty.

Rant over.

No it wasn't just thought the movie was overly hyped for what it was.

Well due to my current financial standings, I'm holding off on going to the movies for a bit. Anyone see Iron Man 2 yet? I want to know how it is.
